Cape Town: Cape Town is known for its shopping, night life, Table Mountain, botanical garden, waterfront and history.  From leisurely strolls along pristine white sand beaches to shopping along the waterfront to exploring the dramatic cliffs of Cape Point and the vibrant blooms of Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. Enhancing the experience, boutique hotels provide a perfect retreat, ensuring a combination of luxury, breathtaking views, and unforgettable moments in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

Greater Kruger National Park: The Greater Kruger National Park is home to lions, elephants, rhino, cape buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffes, and so much more. You will be staying in lodges on private concessions adjoining Kruger National Park. Why a private concession? Because you will enjoy the wildlife of Kruger without the number of tourists. Nothing is worse than pulling up to an amazing animal viewing only to be blocked by twenty other vehicles! In private reserves, you will have much more access to the animals you want to see. The number of vehicles at sightings is limited giving you a more intimate experience with nature.  Kruger is the best place in Southern Africa to see the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard) and the other incredible species of the area!

Victoria Falls: Victoria Falls will take your breath away. Its sheer vastness and power will have you in awe as you walk the paths that span nearly the entirety of the falls. Here you will enjoy touring the falls, helicopter rides over the falls, excellent local market shopping, and beautiful hotels. The wildlife in this area is very used to humans, so as you walk around you will probably see some small antelope or warthogs running around!

Cape Town:

One and Only: The One&Only offers you and your family a luxurious stay during your time in Cape Town. Located on the well-known V&A Waterfront, your room will lookout over either the waterfront or the spectacular Table Mountain. In addition to its wonderful views, it is home to the fabulous restaurants of two world-class chefs, a relaxing pool area with cabanas, and sleek rooms with comfortable décor. It is in a buzzing area of Cape Town where there is popular dining and shopping.

Greater Kruger National Park: 

Mala Mala Main Camp: This is the #1 lodge for game viewing in South Africa! Located on a private reserve right outside of Kruger National Park, you will be left speechless at the sheer quantity of game you will see every day, especially the Big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, cape buffalo, wild dog and rhino).  You can lounge in the infinity pool while watching elephants lumber by the river. The large safari deck is surrounded by beautiful Jackal berry trees which keep you shaded but do not block your view of the river.  The decor is easy with a beautiful emphasis on traditional African decor and patterns. This camp has an air-conditioned dining room, inviting lounge area, library, infinity pool, massage services, boutique, and small fitness center.

Victoria Falls:

Victoria Falls Hotel: A staple of Victoria Falls, this British style hotel has been a beacon of historic luxury and a staple in the Victoria Falls community for decades. From the back lawn you will have beautiful views of the spray coming off Victoria Falls and the famous bridge which crosses over the Zambezi River and spans the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. During your time at the Victoria Falls Hotel, you can choose between several room options spanning from regular rooms to the Presidential Suite which is a three-bedroom space with a living room, private balcony, walk in closet, and optional butler service. Each is well appointed with either classic English style or more modern décor. Enjoy the hotel’s many eating areas with delicious flavors, the spa and hair salon, art gallery, pool, and more.

Since every itinerary is custom designed for you and your group, pricing may vary based on year booked, accommodations chosen, change in activities, and adjustments to the itinerary. All costs will be shared with you during the safari planning process – we don’t like surprise expenses ourselves, so we don’t want them for you!

Trip Insurance & Cancellation Info

Trip insurance is highly recommended to protect your investment on this trip. We will assist you with trip insurance upon booking. See links at the bottom of this page for the two providers we suggest for our clients.

Family Expeditions Safaris, LLC confirmation and refund policy:

If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions Safaris are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
