Cape Town:Cape Town is known for its shopping, night life, botanical garden, waterfront and history.  From leisurely strolls along pristine white sand beaches to exploring the dramatic cliffs of Cape Point and the vibrant blooms of Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. Enhancing the experience, boutique hotels provide a perfect retreat, ensuring a combination of luxury, breathtaking views, and unforgettable moments in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

Sabi Sands: Nestled within the Greater Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands is renowned for its exceptional game viewing, offering intimate encounters with the Big Five and other diverse wildlife. The reserve’s private concessions allow for off-road game drives and guided bush walks, providing unparalleled opportunities to witness predators in action and explore the intricacies of the African bush.

Victoria Falls: Victoria Falls will take your breath away. Its sheer vastness and power will have you in awe as you walk the paths that span nearly the entirety of the falls. Here you can enjoy touring the falls, helicopter rides over the falls, excellent local market shopping, and beautiful hotels. The wildlife in this area is very used to humans, so as you walk around you will probably see some small antelope or warthogs running around!

Chobe River: As you cruise along the riverbanks of the Chobe River, you’ll witness the astonishing abundance of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, and crocodiles, drawn to the life-giving waters. The Chobe River, known for having one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa, provides an extraordinary setting for boat safaris, allowing for close encounters with diverse species in their natural habitat.

Every safari we plan is completely custom based on your unique desires and interests.  On a Family Expeditions Safari you will never be in a tour group.  Your itinerary will be unique to you and your traveling companions.  We are readily available to you throughout the planning phase, as you travel and even when you return as we want to hear all about your adventure!  Every detail will be taken care of so all you need to do is pack and show up!

Cape Town:

One&Only: The One&Only offers you a luxurious stay during your time in Cape Town. Located on the well-known V&A Waterfront, your room will lookout over either the waterfront or the spectacular Table Mountain. In addition to its wonderful views, it is home to the fabulous restaurants of two world-class chefs, a relaxing pool area with cabanas, and sleek rooms with comfortable décor. It is in a buzzing area of Cape Town where there is popular dining and shopping.

Sabi Sands Reserve: 

Singita Ebony: Along the Sand River, surrounded by colossal trees sits a luxuriously fresh and contemporary safari lodge which elevates the rich color, textures, and rhythms of the African bush around it. The lodge was inspired by the classic adventure of African safaris with rich browns, raw mud walls, thatched roofs, and clean textures of linens and stone. The 45,000 acres of Sabi Sands that surround it provide you with unparallel game viewing including lions, hippos, rhino, leopards, zebra, and more! Victoria Falls:

Ilala Hotel: This family owned and operated luxury hotel is a mere 8-minute walk to Victoria Falls. Your time spent here will be a breath of fresh air as you relax in your well-appointed room, lounge by the pool, and enjoy meals at the award-winning restaurant. Your room options here range from standard rooms with a view of the grounds to the Strathearn suite with a private lounge, kitchenet, and private balcony with a hot tub. The overall décor is a mix of neutral colors and bright African-inspired patterns. Wherever you chose to relax, you will be taken care of by the lovely staff who are quick to help and attend to your every need.

Chobe River:

Zambezi Queen: Experience the magic of the Chobe River while in a luxury riverboat hotel where every detail has been thought of and will be taken care of! Everyday you can choose to stay on board and take advantage of the views from your bed or the lounge, or you can go out on tender boats to explore the wildlife up close. You can visit local villages, go out on tender boats for a water-based safari, go tiger fishing, bird watching, or stay on the boat and enjoy watching elephants play in the water, hippos as they swim, and every species you can imagine as they come to the water’s edge to drink.

Starting at $15,001 to $20,000 per person.

Since every itinerary is custom designed for you and your group, pricing may vary based on year booked, accommodations chosen, change in activities, and adjustments to the itinerary. All costs will be shared with you during the safari planning process – we don’t like surprise expenses ourselves, so we don’t want them for you!

Trip Insurance & Cancellation Info

Trip insurance is highly recommended to protect your investment on this trip. We will assist you with trip insurance upon booking. See links at the bottom of this page for the two providers we suggest for our clients.

Family Expeditions Safaris, LLC confirmation and refund policy:

If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 30% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 120 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 120 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions Safaris are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
