Lake Manyara National Park: A visit to Lake Manyara National Park is a mesmerizing safari experience, characterized by diverse ecosystems and rich biodiversity. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, the park is renowned for its stunning lake, which attracts flocks of pink flamingos and a variety of birdlife. With lush woodlands, expansive savannahs, and the backdrop of the escarpment, Lake Manyara offers captivating game drives, providing opportunities to encounter elephants, tree-climbing lions, and an array of wildlife in a compact yet spectacular setting.

Ngorongoro Crater: The Ngorongoro Crater is the jewel of Tanzania – at least it is to us! This crater, which is the remnants of an extinct volcano, has created a heavenly ecosystem where zebra and wildebeest graze near lions, leopards, and elephants. This is one of the most popular places to see diverse species living amongst one another and the predator/prey tension that can ensue from it.

Serengeti National Park: The Lion King. Out of Africa. These are the movies that can come to mind when thinking about the Serengeti. It is the Africa of old. Home to the great migration from May to October when thousands upon thousands of animals traverse to find lusher areas. Here you are likely to see elephants lumber around with their families to find water and food, lions put stealthy stalks on their pray, and thousands of black wildebeest as they make the long trek across the Serengeti. The miles upon miles of grassy savannah spotted with woods and hills will have you feeling like you have stepped into a movie.

Zanzibar: Visiting Zanzibar on a safari is a captivating and relaxing extension of your East African adventure, offering a unique blend of culture, history, and pristine beaches. The archipelago, known for its spice plantations, historic Stone Town, and turquoise waters, provides a perfect contrast to the safari experience on the mainland. Since every itinerary is custom designed for you and your group, pricing may vary based on year booked, accommodations chosen, change in activities, and adjustments to the itinerary. All costs will be shared with you during the safari planning process – we don’t like surprise expenses ourselves, so we don’t want them for you!

Family Expeditions Safaris, LLC confirmation and refund policy:

If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 30% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 120 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 120 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Family Expeditions Safaris are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements. Trip insurance protects your investment!
